Description

Class Experience

In this class students will learn about fascinating women of color in history! Together we will get to know these women and learn why they are so important to our world today. We will learn what they loved, who they were, and what they believed in. 
Each week our class will cover a different woman in history and be accompanied by an activity based on their professions or their impact on the world.
We will learn about these women by documentary videos, powerpoint lectures led by me, group...

Optional homework will be assigned if students want letter grades for the class.

A letter grade, written report, and assessment will be given if requested.

55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.

Politically sensitive topics will be mentioned but covered in the lightest way possible due to the age range. These women broke a lot of the norms and that is exactly why they are so important in our history.
