Learn about various women and their historic or modern contributions to the space industry Learn options and pathways for careers in the space industry Feel inspired and empowered to stay up to date on, and consider possible future careers in the space industry
As a natural space enthusiast, I have spent hundreds of hours studying current and past space technology and the people involved in making it all happen. I teach several weekly ongoing classes on Current Events in Space and have over 40 regular students attend each week.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
The week we learn about Hayley Arceneaux, we speak of cancer as Hayley is a bone cancer survivor turned commercial astronaut. Some of the individuals we will learn about faced racism and sexism during their lives.
