This class is to learn about women in modern music history! Each week we will learn about a different woman, group of women, or girl band that has made some amazing strides in the world of music and art. We will also learn about some of the struggles these women faced and how they paved their own paths. We will listen to a song by that artist and discuss it, draw how it made us feel, and other fun ways to express ourselves and learn about female artists! Each week there will be slides with facts for more visual learners, we will have open listenings and discussions for auditory learners, and questions will be welcomed through the entire class section each time. Each section is comprised of four weeks of themes. This class is open for all, no prior music knowledge needed! This class is open to all genders, but will focus on AFAB/women musicians.
