In this 8-week wizard themed course, your middle school magicians will be taught the parts of speech (noun, pronoun, adjective, verb, adverb, preposition, conjunction, interjection) to create a solid foundation for higher-level learning.

Using examples from the wizarding world, students will work their way through each of the parts of speech: noun, pronoun, verb, adjective, adverb, preposition, conjunction, and interjection. Class 1-Nouns: proper, common, concrete, abstract, collective. Noun Forms: number, gender, case Class 2-Pronouns: simple, compound, phrasal. Pronoun antecedents. Pronoun Classes: personal, relative, indefinite, interrogative, demonstrative. Pronoun Forms: number, person (point of view), case,...
Homework will not be assigned, however, there will be some optional self-assessment, and practice problems provided.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Optional self-assessment will be available via Google forms.
55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
As this is a wizard themed class, there will be talk about magic and spells as fictional examples. If you prefer your child not talk about these topics, even as fiction, do not enroll your child.
