This beginners dance class will introduce basic movements of hip-hop. We warm-up, stretch and we will learn a fun routine. During class we will also take a couple breaks and will do a craft at the end of class!

Description
Class Experience
During this class we start off with a warm-up and we will stretch our bodies. We will also do cardio and then learn some hip-hop moves for approximately 7-10 minutes. We will then learn some fun choreography to an upbeat song! (approximately 30 -35 minutes) During class we will have a couple of breaks that include about 5 minutes to rest our muscles and we will work on a wizard craft at the end of class! Your child will learn basic movements of hip hop and movement. This song is upbeat and fun. The goal of this class is to get the student excited about dance, move around and exercise, learn something new and learn a routine by the end of the class!
I have been teaching for 19 years in several styles of dance for all ages. I have danced professionally including Walt Disney World, The Orlando Magic (NBA) Dance Team, Carnival Cruise Lines and more. I have directed many dance teams and have judged at competitions and professional dance and cheer team auditions. My passion is to help others be their best! I am passionate, caring and fun and look forward to meeting your child!
No homework is assigned but practice is encouraged!
4 files available upon enrollmentWe will be making a wizard hat decoration during class. Bring the attachment or bring your own piece of paper or you can choose to color the coloring sheets attached or bring your own coloring sheets. You will need tape for the wizard hat or a stapler and scissors.
Encouragement and feedback will be given throughout the class.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Make sure your child is taking class in a safe space in a clear area where they can extend their arms out side to side and front and back. Also, make sure your child has water nearby and wears comfortable clothing. Scissors needed for craft if making the wizard hat. (Dance at your own risk.)
