This interactive hands on class is for kids who love The Wizard of Oz. We will start the class by taking an imaginary trip down The Yellow Brick Road. We will discuss some of the different characters featured in the story, move like the Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Lion, sing a song, act out a scene, and build our own version of The Magical Land of OZ. We will build a tornado in a bottle, craft a rainbow, and foil Tinman. If there is time, we will make Poems around the quote "There's no place like home" Previous knowledge of the story, The Wizard of Oz is not required, but is helpful.

Supply List
Please bring paper and any kind of drawing utensils, (crayons, markers, colored pencils, etc.) Please have a clear jar with a lid, access to water, and some dish soap. Students need one sheet of tin foil. Children should bring any kind of blocks to build with, or they could stack paper/plastic cups. Please have class in a space where building with blocks is possible, (i.e., have a bit of floor or table top space available).

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
