This class is perfect for first time Harry Potter readers and for students that want to re-read the series. In this class we will follow along with Harry, Ron, and Hermione on the adventures that await during their fourth year at Hogwarts! Students will engage in book group discussions and creative writing each week. Through these discussions and writing we will work on comprehension skills, analyzing the characters and their actions, making connections, discussing the author's purpose for including different events and characters in the book, and comparing and contrasting different characters and events.

0Students will need a copy of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J.K. Rowling. Print books, e-books, and audiobooks are all fine, choose the book medium you feel most comfortable with!
Harry Potter is a much loved children's book series about wizards and magic. The books in this series start out lighthearted but do get a little darker as the series goes on. Later books in the series deal with the bad guys wanting to kill people that don't have "pureblood" and the deaths of some beloved characters. I always recommend that parents read a book first to decide if it is a good fit for their child!
