In this one-time, 40-minute class students will learn about short-term and long-term goals. Students will write goals for themselves and discuss the impact of reaching their goals.

This is a one-time, 40-minute live class on goal-setting and how reaching goals helps to build our confidence. We will begin by discussing the difference between wishes and goals. This will lead into a discussion about goal-setting: short-term and long-term goals. We will also talk about being realistic and how reaching short-term goals builds toward our long-term goals. Students will be given an opportunity to identify, write, and share their goals. Finally, we will discuss how reaching our goals makes us feel. My teaching style encourages students to be interactive with me and their classmates during discussion. It is important to me that my students always walk away with useful strategies that they can put in place right away.

Hello! My name is Lisa Crick. I bring experience and expertise to the classroom with a masters degree in school counseling. I have been an elementary school counselor for over 20 years, working with kids in Kindergarten through 4th grade.
