This class is taught in English.
Students will learn how to make a wire wrapped ring with a crystal or rock.
1. Students will need a small rock about 1 to 2 cm. Depending on how small the learner's finger is you can look at rocks/ crystals and measure the size based on the learner's liking. You can find this rock/ crystal on a hike or outside. You can also purchase a small crystal or rock often called 'crystal chips' at stores where they have a jewelry section (Michael's, Hobby Lobby) or online. Here is an etsy link I like: https://www.etsy.com/listing/988657606/crystal-chips-flat-price-for-everything?click_key=6f7e6a6b7c8228626d78a65a5a1462c97d63b122%3A988657606&click_sum=147f540e&ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=natural+chip+stone&ref=sr_gallery-1-2&sts=1 2. Wire that can be any color of their choosing. Wire needs to be 22 guage and 24 guage. The guage size is important because it will be too thick or thin if not correct size. You can get this wire at any craft store that has a jewelry section or online. Here is a link below where you can order both kinds: https://www.etsy.com/listing/934096283/gold-beadsmith-16-18-20-22-24-26-28-30?click_key=3492eb3d66f3ffb81440729a5a7806a38bca53b8%3A934096283&click_sum=a02941ec&ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=22+guage+wire&ref=sr_gallery-1-5&organic_search_click=1&pro=1 3. Student's will need jewelry making pliers and a wire cutter. Adult scissors can usually cut wire of this thickness just fine. Pliers and wire cutters can again be found at craft stores or online. Below is a link you can get them from as well: https://www.amazon.com/Jewelry-Pliers-Making-Beading-Repair/dp/B08LVJZSWX/ref=asc_df_B08LVJZSWX/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=475810737051&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=12305957644988565284&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9031269&hvtargid=pla-1095533531648&psc=1 4. Ring sizer, this is optional. Student's can use their own finger or something with a similar circumference like a narrow drum stick or something.
