Welcome to Winter Wonderland! In this 4 week class, students will understand why it snows and will learn interesting facts about snowflakes. They will learn about different types of snowstorms. They will explore what animals do in the winter to survive (hibernation, migration, adaptation.) They will be encouraged to ask and answer questions and use critical thinking skills. Each class will include a vibrant PowerPoint presentation, group discussions, and a fun craft. If time permits, we will play a review game at the end of class! Here is the breakdown of the weeks: Week 1: All About Snow. Why does it snow? Snowflake facts: Snowflake craft. Week 2: Hibernation: Hibernating bear craft. Week 3: Migration: Migrating birds art. Week 4: Adaptation: Deer craft. I look forward to teaching your child and helping them learn all about the magical winter season. Miss Erin
