Symmetrical? Unique? Facets? Master these "flakey" terms and demonstrate them by creating your own paper snowflake.

Class Experience

Learners will discuss what makes a snowflake in terms of shapes and properties. We will demonstrate symmetry with a 6 fold cutting pattern. Please be confident in your use of scissors or have a parent helper nearby for this step. Learners will then share their snowflakes by commenting on their techniques, results and satisfaction with overall final presentation.  Comments should include reference to course terms "Symmetry" & "Facet" when explaining results.
