Class Experience

This 4-day camp introduces students to the classic story of "The Gift of the Magi" by O'Henry. This class is suitable for students in grades 4-7.

Story summary: The Gift of the Magi is a short story by the American writer O. Henry, written and published in 1905. It takes place at Christmastime and tells the story of Jim and Della Dillingham, a poor, young married couple who don't have enough money to buy each other Christmas gifts.

Students will work on comprehension, vocabulary, analytical thinking, and writing.

Optional homework assignments for enrichment.

No materials are needed. All pdfs/materials will be provided by the instructor.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
