Winter Science Experiments! Students will learn scientific terms, facts and methods while having fun completing these winter inspired hands-on experiments. Supplies are usually items that are easily found around your home. Each lesson will include a printable science journal. Experiments include: 1) Hot Chocolate Science 1/4 2) Build and Melt a Snowman 1/11 3) Snowstorm in a Jar 1/18 4) Fishing for Ice 1/25 5) Grow a Rainbow 2/1 6) Ice Cream in a Bag 2/8 Structure for each live class: 1st - We will go over our supply list. 2nd - Introduce and discuss our scientific terms to ponder. 3rd - Students will follow along with me as we complete the science experiment of the week. I will often ask learners to share their hypothesis for each step along the process of our experiment. We will fill in our hypothesis and observations throughout class. 4th - We will discuss our final scientific findings. When entering the online classroom - be sure to put your camera view on "gallery mode" so you can see all of the learner's experiments at once. Bachelor's Degree in Science from Eastern Michigan University
Hello parents and students,
I encourage learning through enthusiastic engagement. I believe children learn best through curiosity or play. Teaching online has been my passion since 2015. I was an online English teacher with VIPKID for over three years and an Outschool teacher for ever since. VIPKID taught me how to engage with students in a virtual setting. They taught me how to use props, singing and demonstrations to increase learning. I encourage student output and participation during class.
I have a bachelors degree in marketing and science. I am an entrepreneur and business owner. I have also been in the beauty industry for over 15 years. I am a homeschooling mother to my twin sons and my two daughters. I am constantly seeking creative ways for my children and students to learn new things.
