Description
Class Experience
Let's cool down this summer by sprinkling some winter vibes into our creative writing! So grab a cup of hot cocoa and your favorite winter hat because our characters are going on a creative journey through the snow and we are going to write all about it! This four day writer's workshop is meant to get learners excited about writing for fun and inspired to write for themselves as a creative outlet. It can be taken either as a one-on-one class or with a friend. (Just contact me ahead of...
Learners will be able to spend time writing in a relaxed, stress-free zone, that is meant to be more about having fun with writing and getting creative juices flowing than worrying about "getting a good grade" which is typically associated with writing in school.
I have worked abroad helping teenagers to brainstorm and improve their essays. I currently enjoy blogging, writing stories, and helping elementary school students enjoy writing more. This past year I was asked twice to write and present a poem for special events. I have held several creative writing workshops over zoom for young people and enjoy creative writing as a personal hobby.
Learners will need something to write on each day such as paper and a pencil. (Electronic devices are allowed too for learners who prefer typing.) For the days when we will be doing bullet journaling or creating comic strips, learners are encouraged to use drawing paper, colored pencils or other materials for drawing. If they'd like to use colored paper, washi tape, markers, stickers, etc. for their journaling page, this is welcomed too!
3 hours 20 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
