Description

Class Experience

This is a fun Winter Holiday themed camp for kids to take to help with counting money.   This class is a great opportunity for students to learn, maintain, or enhance their money skills while having a great time with new friends.  This class will focus on identifying coins and their values, counting like coins, counting like coins plus pennies, discovering various ways to show certain amounts of money, counting mixed coins, and applying their skills while playing a game. I have been an public school elementary teacher for over 20 years.  During that time, I have taught math for about 13 of those years.  Teaching money has always been a fun unit for me because students love money!  I have discovered many ways to help students grasp these concepts while having fun learning them.

1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
