Description

Class Experience

I'm a teaching artist & book artist with a BFA in illustration and a Masters degree in Art Education. I've been making books and teaching kids how to make books for years with clear, focused instructional techniques, still allowing plenty of freedom for students to do their own thing.
-Construction paper or cardstock in at least two different colors (I suggest white for the main page, and a different color for the outside of the card, and maybe some other colors or decorative papers to add collage accents), a few sheets each -Glue stick (not liquid white glue please, glue stick is better for this, but if you only have white glue, that's better than nothing!) -Something to fold with: a popsicle stick, a non-serrated butter knife, a ruler, or a glue stick or marker - all will work -A pencil, along with markers or crayons
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
