In Winter Fun Writing Camp, students will plan, draft, revise, and publish writing pieces on really fun topics. Check out this example topic: There is an opening for “Head Elf” at Santa’s Workshop. Write why you are the best candidate for the job, or What would it be like to hibernate during the winter months? I encourage students to enjoy writing, so questions will be answered with time to plan, draft, revision suggestions, second draft, and publication. Students are encouraged to read their awesome pieces for the class. Join us for lots of writing fun.

Students will use the writing process to create a fun writing pieces to share this Holiday Season.

Supply List
I will supply all worksheets for writing. Students will need pencils or pens as well as colored pencils if students wish to illustrate their writing pieces.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Sources
I will supply the topic, the planning sheet, and seasonal drafting sheets. Students will need to print or download the worksheets for their use in class.
Teacher expertise and credentials
As a teacher with twenty one years experience in public schools, I am certified in grades Pre-K through Grade 5 in all subjects. In addition, I am certified for middles grades in English/language arts, Reading, Science, and Social Studies. I am certified to teach gifted students in all fields that I teach according to my teaching certificate. I attended the Cherokee Rose Writing Project as a part of the National Writing Project a summer writing program for teachers at the University of West Georgia. I have a M.ED in Reading Instruction.
