In this 5 day course, we will examine the anatomy and the physiology of how our 5 senses - vision, hearing, touch, smell and taste - work.
Class experience
US Grade 7 - 10
In this course, students will learn about the anatomy and physiology of 5 human sense organs (eyes, ears, nose, tongue and skin). We will go over the parts that make up each organ and will discuss the mechanism by which these organs detect various stimuli from the environment. Students will conduct at-home labs with a partner (siblings, parents, friends etc.) of their choice. Learners will require a partner at home for labs. Depending on the learners, parents may need to guide, assist and monitor learners' at-home lab activities. Clear directions for the labs will be provided. Please make sure to follow the directions properly. We may or may not use all the external resources listed under materials. Students will not need to make an account for accessing the external resources. Some of the resources are used only on the teacher's side to teach while sharing the screen.
