Celebrate the winter season with snowy artwork. Students will use relief sculpture techniques to create this colorful snowflake project. Students will use a glue and salt technique with watercolor paint to create this colorful artwork. Although this class is taught using a directed drawing method, students are encouraged to make their drawing unique and personal to them. To ensure students get interaction with the teacher, the beginning of class will start with introductions and class will end with sharing their art with the class, talking about the choices they made when creating their drawing.
Learning Goals
Students will practice gluing and painting to help develop fine motor skills.
Students will continue to develop skills in artistic expression and artistic decision making.

Day 1: Paper, white school glue, salt Day 2: Watercolor paint, paint brush, cup of water

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Teacher expertise and credentials
The two things I love most in life is art and teaching! I have a degree in art education and have lots of experience working with young students. I think that basic understanding of art techniques and theories are important things that students should learn to not only further their art skills but also to see the beauty in the world around them!
