Description

Class Experience

For all Wings of Fire lovers, this class is for you!  You will learn the creative and descriptive writing techniques that brought these wonderful stories to life.  During class, we will examine some of the most descriptive passages from Wings of Fire and explore the different types of imagery and characterization that Tui T. Sutherland used to paint the scenes and characters from the stories into the mind of her readers. After this introduction to literary techniques, we will learn to focus...

1. To identify use of imagery and figurative language in The Lightning Thief
2. To apply imagery, figurative language, and indirect characterization techniques within their own writing
3. Proper paragraph structure
