They will also complete assignments to help them engage the story on a deeper level. For each meeting, learners will read 4-5 chapters from the book and complete an assignment. While this book is a fun and exciting story, it does contain quite a bit of violence. There are multiple scenes depicting arena battles and descriptions of dragon deaths. The young characters are also mistreated by their caretakers and one character is rejected by his mother when he meets her.
