Class Experience
Fairies this Way! This weeklong camp has campers earning their wings as they have a journey into a land of fantasy, sparkle, and, pixie dust. This mystical camp runs Monday through Friday! This amazing camp will include team-building skills, leadership skills, crafts, projects, discussions, telling time, rhyming words, poem writing, themed games, puzzles, creating a fairy godmother, escaping from a dragon, and more enriching fun. Fairies will learn teambuilding and leadership skills. Through themed discussions we will practice reading, listening, and problem solving skills. We will use our creativity, practice telling time, rhyming words, and poem writing. Skills will be reinforced through discussions, themed games, puzzles and crafts.
I served the Director of Ancillary Services tasked with planning and executing summer and winter camps at a PK-12 school. I hold a degree in Psychology and an MBA, a 150-hour master teacher certificate for teaching English as a second language courses and have served as a college counselor for almost 5 years advising students and families on the college acceptance process. I have taught middle school, have been an academic administrator in a Pre-K 12 school and was a founding director of a Learning Center.
prepare for the next day
Crayons, glue stick, markers, several sheets of plain white paper, scissors, Paint (not watercolors), small paintbrush, cup to rinse paint brush, smooth rock about the size of the palm of a hand, about 10-12 thin popsicle sticks, about 20 small fastening brads, construction paper: 1 light blue, 1 pink, 1 purple, 1 hair color, 1 skin color, 1, yellow, 1 white sheet. I will email activity sheets for campers too!
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
