Description

Class Experience

When I was a kid, science was one of my least favorite subjects, but as an adult, it is one of my absolute favorites. I especially love Physics because it combines science and math. Having a son really honed my love of physics as we started testing ALL of the laws of physics... sometimes on purpose, but sometimes purely by accident.
Week 1: 1 plastic bottle of water, 1 balloon, white vinegar (at least 1 cup), baking soda (at least 1 tablespoon) Go ahead and throw that bottle of water into the back corner of your fridge. About an hour before class, put it in the freezer.
Week 2: 1 AA battery, copper 18 gauge wire, wire cutter, needle nosed pliers, ruler

Week 3: Some toy cars of various size and style (up to 5) + something to use as a ramp like a board
Week 4: a variety of different types of paper, a penny, a paperclip
No live meetings, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Some parental assistance may be needed to help facilitate some of the experiments.
