Description

Class Experience

Students will increase their knowledge of zoology and tropical ecology by learning about the diversity of wildlife in the Amazon Rainforest. Students will gain awareness of conservation issues threatening some species. As a side effect, students may become highly enthusiastic about learning science!
I hold my bachelor's degree in biology (wildlife ecology) and my Master's in science education. I am a high school biology, environmental science, and zoology teacher and have experience working with many animals, including from sloths to poisonous frogs to sea anemones. Animals are my favorite thing to teach!
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Any discussions of climate change are based on the widely accepted knowledge of the secular scientific community.
