Description
Class Experience
Students will learn how to make and use their own atlatl/bow.
I am a certified leader for the Skidmore College Outing Club and have taught members wilderness survival skills. For five weeks, I lived remotely in the Peruvian Amazon doing wildlife conservation work for the non-profit, Hoja Nueva. I have trained with professional hunter-gatherer Matt Graham in Southern Utah. I also have my Wilderness First Aid and CPR certification. I am currently in the interviewing process for Discovery's Naked and Afraid.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
The class is focused on primitive hunting tools that are technically weapons.
