This class will focus on all things seal. In this class we are going to go over what a seal is, some of their behaviors, where they live, and then some of the various types of seals from around the world. We will also be looking at sea lions and fur seals and looking to see how they are different from other seals. This will be a lecture style class I will have a presentation prepared for the class. The presentation will have multiple pictures and videos on the slides. I will also be asking...
I hope learners will find out new information about seals and maybe find out about new types of seals.
I graduated from the University of Florida with honors and a bachelor's of science with a minor in wildlife ecology and conservation. Since then I have been teaching outdoor science around the country.
I will be providing an optional seal drawing that students can use to color in and follow along to the presentation.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
We will be using Youtube in this class. We will also be watching videos of seals hunting.
