We will be going over all things otters. We are going to go over the types of otters all around the world, where they live , and the adaptations that help them live there. We will also go over what otters eat and some of their behaviors. We will lightly touch on what other animals otters are related to. This will be a lecture style class with many pictures and videos displaying otters. I will be asking the class many questions and participation is encouraged but not required. I encourage students to share any stories they have with personal experience with otters. At the end of the class I will be using Kahoot! to have a fun way to go over some of the information we covered in the class. We will be using Kahoot! in this class today. If you don't know what kahoot! is it is a site that allows us to play a little trivia game at the end of the class. You can either use this website link https://kahoot.it/ or you can download the Kahoot! app on a phone or tablet. No prior knowledge is required.

Parental Guidance
We will be using youtube for videos. I will have some videos of otters hunting and eating fish and other smaller animals nothing too graphic though. I will also being using Kahoot! at the end of the Lesson as a type of review.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelors of Science in Biology. I have a minor in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation. Growing up in Florida I learned all about otters. I have seen otters in my backyard and I have a love of them and all animals.
