Each week we’ll have a new nature subject to discover. From bugs to whales, wild landscapes, and cool plants. During some weeks learners will be encouraged to bring their own item to paint, wether its a picture of an animal they saw in their backyard, to a cool leaf they found on a walk, and so on. Spending time in nature is an encouraged extension of this class! Step-by-step guides will be given to the learners throughout the weeks’ lessons. This will allow students to develop their skills in creating art, but this club is not meant to be a method of formal, graded instruction. Below are the topics for the first 5 weeks: Week 1 (Nov 30.): Giant Sunflowers Week 2 (Dec. 7): Nature Walk- Pine Cones & Leaves Week 3 (Dec. 14): White-Tailed Deer Week 4 (Dec. 21): Giant Jellyfish Week 5 (Dec. 28): Baleen Whales Week 6 (Jan 4): Giraffe Week 7 (Jan 11): All about dogs! Bachelor's Degree in Music or Theatre or Arts from Columbus College of Art & Design
I received my BFA degree in Interior Design from the Columbus College of Art & Design. During my college career I experimented with many art mediums, from metalworking, to printmaking, watercolor, and more. I am a firm believer that every child is an artist and that creativity shouldn't stop in youth! I hope to pass along a love for creating that will be a regular part of their lives even as adults.
