If you have a little yoga lover at home who is looking for a fun workout each week, then this is the perfect ongoing course! They will learn how to stretch like giraffes, bend like monkeys, quietly meditate, and even make new friends. This yoga course will teach learners how to practice mindfulness and explore new yoga poses in a fun, safe, welcoming environment. They will exercise their bodies and minds alongside one of our amazing, certified yoga teachers and a few new friends. This ongoing course is designed with beginner yogis in mind, so no prior yoga or mindfulness experience is required. Each class will follow this format: 1. Introduction to animals and poses 2. Warm-up & stretch 3. Guided flow sequence with new poses 4. Cool down 4. Savasana & meditation Below is the weekly course outline: - Week of August 28th -- Iguana pose, Jaguar pose, Kangaroo pose, Lion pose - Week of September 4th - Mouse pose, Narwhal pose, Otter pose, Peacock pose - Week of September 11th -- Quail pose, Rainbow fish pose, Swan pose, T-Rex pose, Umbrella Bird pose - Week of September 18th -- Vulture Pose, Whale pose, X-Ray Fish pose, Yak pose, Zebra pose - Week of September 25th -- Armadillo pose, Butterfly pose, Cat & Cow poses, Dog pose - Week of October 2nd-- Eagle pose, Frog pose, Gorilla pose, Horse pose - Week of October 9th-- Iguana pose, Jaguar pose, Kangaroo pose, Lion pose - Week of October 16th - Mouse pose, Narwhal pose, Otter pose, Peacock pose - Week of October 23rd -- Quail pose, Rainbow fish pose, Swan pose, T-Rex pose, Umbrella Bird pose This ongoing class is a perfect after school or weekend activity! Parental Guidance
Bare feet and a large space are necessary to ensure safety. Learners should also wear comfortable clothing that is appropriate for exercise and stretching.
Supply List
Learners are not required to have any supplies for this class; however, they can bring a yoga mat, blanket, and/or towel to sit and stretch on during class.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

**VICKY CLOUTIER**
Vicky is a certified, fun-loving yoga teacher from Wales, Maine. With over 10 years of experience teaching students in-person and online, she has developed a passion of sharing her love of learning with children of all ages - especially at-risk readers. Vicky holds a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, as well as a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Maine. She is also a certified children's yoga instructor! Vicky's teaching philosophy centers around the development of unique, interactive learning opportunities that infuse language and literacy development into high-interest activities, like: art, craft projects, baking, and yoga.

**ARIANA PEARSON**
Ariana is an eclectic yoga teacher from Indianapolis, Indiana who now calls Costa Rica, "home." After studying, working, and living abroad in Peru and Costa Rica, Ariana considers herself to be truly bilingual and bicultural. Ariana holds a Bachelor's degree from IUPUI (Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis), along with a TESOL teaching certification. She enjoys teaching online and her experiences have helped her gain a deeper understanding of pedagogy and language acquisition in the virtual learning environment. Ariana's teaching philosophy centers around the importance of creating a relaxing, engaging learning environment that maximizes student language output.
