In this popular wild animal science class, kids will learn facts and vocabulary about the habitat, physical traits, and conservation status of Tigers. Great as a science class for afterschool and homeschool students.

Class experience

US Grade 3 - 5
1. Students will learn facts about the physical characteristics of Tigers, such as size, diet, habitat and characteristics. 
2. Students will learn how scientists use these characteristics to compare and classify a species like the Tiger. 
3. Students will learn why conservation of Tigers is so important and what is being done to prevent the total extinction of this species. 
4. Students will learn new vocabulary words related to the study of Tigers and their Asian habitat.
Homework Offered
Your child may be interested in learning more facts about the topic of Tigers and animal conservation. Great science enrichment for independent or homeschooled learners.

Assessments Offered
While there is not a formal assessment for this class, students will be learning concepts of animal science along with the opportunity to develop additional math, geography, vocabulary and creative thinking while learning facts about Tigers of Asia.

Print Pack: (attached to the welcome message in the classroom and visible if you are logged in as the LEARNER) Contains a worksheet to help the learner identify and label the physical characteristics of a Tiger. Note: A certificate and a Tiger fact and vocabulary sheet will be available for download in the classroom after class.
