In this animal science class, students will learn facts about Red Wolves. We will explore and compare the habitat, characteristics, diet, family group and conservation status of Red Wolves. I will be using a presentation created using photo slides and asking interactive questions that will also integrate elements of geography, math and vocabulary into an animal science lesson designed to motivate natural curiosity. 1. Students will learn facts about the physical characteristics of Red Wolves such as size, diet, habitat and characteristics. 2. Students will learn how scientists use these characteristics to compare and classify a species like the red wolf. 3. Students will learn why conservation of Red Wolves is so important and what is being done to prevent the extinction of this species. 4. Students will learn new vocabulary words related to the study of the Red Wolf and its North American habitat.
