Description

Class Experience

1. Students will learn facts about the physical characteristics of Red Pandas, such as size, diet, habitat and characteristics. 
2. Students will learn how scientists use these characteristics to compare and classify a species like the red panda. 
3. Students will learn why conservation of red pandas is so important and what is being done to prevent the extinction of this species. 
4. Students will learn new vocabulary words related to the study of Red Pandas in their natural habitat.
Your child may be interested in learning more facts about the topic of Red Pandas and animal conservation science. Great science enrichment for independent or homeschooled learners.

Learner Supply List: 1. Paper (Notebook, loose or a sketchpad) 2. Pencils, markers or crayons to write, label or color 3. Print Pack: (attached to the welcome message in the classroom and visible if you are logged in as the LEARNER) Contains templates to help the learner identify and label the physical characteristics of a Red Panda. Note: A certificate and a Red Panda fact and vocabulary sheet will be available for download in the classroom after class.
There is not a formal assessment for this class. Students will be learning concepts of animal science along with the opportunity to develop additional math, geography, vocabulary and creative thinking while learning facts about Red Pandas.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
