In this popular wild animal science class, kids will learn facts and vocabulary about the habitat, physical traits, and conservation status of Hammerhead Sharks. Great as a science class for afterschool and homeschool students.

Class experience

US Grade 3 - 5
1. Students will learn facts about the physical characteristics of Hammerhead Sharks such as size, diet, habitat and characteristics. 
2. Students will learn how scientists use these characteristics to compare and classify a species like Hammerhead Sharks. 
3. Students will learn why conservation of Hammerheads is so important and what is being done to prevent the extinction of this species. 
4. Students will learn new vocabulary words related to the study of the Hammerheads and the ocean habitat.
Homework Offered
Your child may be interested in learning more facts about Hammerhead Sharks and animal conservation science. Great science enrichment for independent or homeschooled learners. A Certificate and a Hammerhead Shark activity, vocabulary and fact sheet will be available for download in the classroom after class.

Assessments Offered
There is not a formal assessment for this class. Students will be learning concepts of science along with the opportunity to develop additional math, geography, vocabulary and creative thinking while learning about Hammerhead Sharks. A Certificate and a Hammerhead Shark activity, vocabulary and fact sheet will be available for download in the classroom after class.
