In this popular animal science class, students will learn facts about Polar Bears. We will explore and compare the habitat, characteristics, diet, family group and conservation status of polar bears. I will be using a presentation created using photo slides and asking interactive questions that will also integrate elements of geography, math and vocabulary into an animal science lesson designed to motivate natural curiosity. I will also include two downloadable templates that will help...
1. Students will learn facts about the physical characteristics of the polar bear such as size, diet, habitat and characteristics. 2. Students will learn how scientists use these characteristics to compare and classify a species like the polar bear. 3. Students will learn why conservation of polar bears s is so important and what is being done to prevent the extinction of this species. 4. Students will learn new vocabulary words related to the study of the polar bear and the arctic habitat.
