In this popular wild animal science class, kids will learn facts and vocabulary about the habitat, physical traits, and conservation status of African Elephants. Great as a science class for afterschool and homeschool students.

Class Experience

US Grade 3 - 5
  • 1. Students will learn facts about the physical characteristics of the African elephant such as size, diet, habitat and characteristics.
  • 2. Students will learn how scientists use these characteristics to compare and classify a species like the African elephant.
  • 3. Students will learn why conservation of African elephants is so important and what is being done to prevent the extinction of this species.
  • 4. Students will learn new vocabulary words related to the study of the African elephant and their savanna habitat.
Homework Offered
Your child may be interested in learning more about the topic of African elephants and animal conservation science. Great science enrichment for independent or homeschooled learners.

Assessments Offered
There is not a formal assessment for this class. Students will be learning concepts of animal science along with the opportunity to develop additional math, geography, vocabulary and creative thinking while learning about African elephants.
