Does your child go WILD for animals? Then join us on our weekly animal adventure! Each week we will explore a new wild animal. Classes will follow the "read, write, draw" format. Students will learn about the animal's body features, habitat, diet and characteristics. After I read about the animal, students will share what they learned and place this information in a graphic organizer. Using the graphic organizer, students will write 1 sentence about the animal. Depending on the student's level, they may wish to write more. Once we finish our writing, we will draw a picture of the animal. Students may "free draw" or follow my step-by-step instructions for drawing the animal. This class is interactive so I will not mute students. However, students are expected to wait their turn to speak during the lesson so that their thoughts and ideas can be heard by all. Class Schedule: - Greetings - Animal Exploration with discussion - Writing - Drawing - Closing and "goodbyes" Animal of the Week: January 3- Emperor Penguins January 10- Polar Bears January 17- Koalas January 24- Bearded Dragon January 31- Clown Fish February 7-
