In this one-time class, students will learn about ten of the most venomous animals in the world. Students will learn what the difference between a creature being venomous verse poisonous are. Just how venomous is an Inland taipan snake? If you get bit by a Blue-ringed octopus how quickly can you die? How many adult men can a box jellyfish kill? Find out these answers and many more in this fun engaging class. 

In the class, students will not only get to learn about some of the most venomous animals in the world, but will also get a more in-depth look at each of these incredible creatures. We will explore where they're from, what do they eat, and do they have any other unique adaptations that have helped them become true champions of the animal kingdom. 

Since the class, is focus on letting kids explore their curiosity and love of animals, students will be encouraged to share their knowledge and to ask lots of questions to discover new revelations about the animal kingdom. I believe students learn best when having fun in a supportive environment that encourages them to express their thoughts and opinions. 

At the start of each class, students will be encouraged to make a prediction about which animals they think will be on my list. The class will be done as a google slide presentation including fun facts, videos, and if possible, sound clips of the animals. In the end, we will talk about what the students have learned and which animals they liked the most or surprised them.
Students are welcome to bring their favorite stuffed animals, photos, or animal toys to share with the class. Snacks are welcome too.

Parental Guidance
We will be talking about deadly animals including that people can die from their venom, and just how deadly they are. It will not be graphic or show anything gruesome, but if this subject is something that might upset your child, please be aware that this class might not be best suited for them.

We also will be talking about animals in this class. We will cover topics like what they ate, how they hunted, killed, and how large they got. This could include images or short clips of animals attacking other animals with the goal to kill them, while I will not display any gruesome images/videos, the content could possibly be scary to some children.
