The students will discuss all the different parts of the seed and students will create a seed model out of modeling dough. Students will learn about the different steps of germination and why it is important. Students will have the opportunity to create an experiment using a seed to see how germination works. Inside of a Seed: modeling clay or play dough a smooth mat to work on (like a placemat) ***at least 2 bean seeds that have been soaked in water overnight Germination experiment: bean seeds (not soaked) paper towels water plastic bag with a zipper seal or a clear jar
Students will be working with play doh or modeling clay which could contain wheat and is an allergen for some people.
