This one-time class Spanish and science class is all about learning to name "Los Animales del Safari" (Safari Animals). We will learn to pronounce the names of 10 different safari animals and learn some fun facts about each of them along the way! Students will be encouraged to share any thoughts they have or facts they know about each animal. By the end of class, students will be able to identify different...
Students will learn the following words in Spanish: 1. Lion 2. Zebra 3. Giraffe 4. Elephant 5. Rhino 6. Cheetah 7. Crocodile 8. Hippo 9. Meerkat 10. Ostrich
No homework, but I will provide a worksheet and flashcards that students can use as reinforcement after class.
1 file available upon enrollmentA printable worksheet and flashcards will be provided that students can complete after class to reinforce the lesson. The worksheets include matching and coloring activities, and the flashcards have the names of the animals in Spanish and English.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
There will be real images and videos of animals like crocodiles and lions which could frighten some younger children.
