Description

Class Experience

In this class, students will practice a variety of writing skills through the use of humor, comedy and good-natured fun. A specific skill will be introduced in each lesson, followed by time to practice and share with the group. Hopefully, giggles will be abundant and hilarity will ensue! 

Week of June 6: Using descriptive language
Week of June 13: Using an active voice
Week of June 20: Idiomatic expressions
Week of June 27: Voice

Topics include but are not limited to:

Ms. Sarah has a master's degree in education and Montessori certification, plus over 20 years of elementary classroom experience. She enjoys fostering creativity while guiding students to become stronger writers.

Every day, students should be ready with:
-Lined paper
-Pencil and pencil sharpener
-Eraser

Occasional use of:
-Colored pencils or markers

40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
