Did you ever wonder which is the toughest animal on Earth? It is not a Tiger or a Lion! Even dinosaurs were not among the toughest living organisms. This honor goes to a cute looking and squishy microorganism – the tardigrade! This creature has super powers that humans can only dream of. In 35 minutes class - after getting familiar with eachother in first 5 minutes - students will learn through power point slides, videos and pictures about Tardigrades. The topics covered are 1) What is a tardigrade? 2) What do they look like outside and under microscope? 3) Anatomy - understanding internal structures. 4) Where do they live? 5) What makes them nearly indestructible? 6) What extreme environments they survive into? 7) Myths and Facts about them. Worksheets will be provided for students to fill out during class and follow up videos and articles will be shared after class.
