In this one time class, students will have discussions about the “Goosebumps” book series by R.L Stine and the tv show on Netflix. We will also work together on a project that involves a “spooky factor”
Class experience
First, we will have a brief introduction and introduce ourselves to everyone (name, where you are from and why you decided to take this class). Then, everyone will have the opportunity to share their favorite “Goosebumps” book; I would like each student to give a brief synopsis of the book and why it’s their favorite. I will also share some facts about the author of the books, R.L. Stine. Lastly, students will use recycled materials to design and build a miniature haunted mansion or hotel....
1) A hard copy of their favorite Goosebumps book 2) Paper and writing/drawing utensils 3) Recycled material (cereal boxes, plastic bottles, cardboard, etc) 4) Sharpies 5) Duct tape 6) Construction paper and any other materials the students would like to use for the building process. I want them to utilize materials that they already have at home
