In this Kindergarten readiness class, students will learn common Kindergarten standards. This class will help prepare your child for Kindergarten. Each class will be split into math and reading. This is an interactive class where students will sing songs, play games and have fun learning new skills. Students will be expected to bring different items to each class, so make sure to check the materials section for what to bring. I would love to provide additional resources to my students, so...
Students will learn Kindergarten skills for reading and math. Students will be able to identify letters and numbers. Students will be able to count objects. Students will learn about characters and setting in a story. Students will be prepared for their first day of Kindergarten.
I would like to provide extra resources to students. This is optional. If you would like the resources, then make sure to provide an email.
Students will need to bring a dry erase board, dry erase marker, and eraser to every class. Materials to bring for class 1: -3 objects that begin with any of the letters A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I Materials to bring for class 2: -10 small objects for counting -3 objects that begin with any of the letters J, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q Materials to bring for class 3: -10 small objects for adding and subtracting -3 objects that begin with any of the letters R, S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, Z
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
2 hours per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
