Class Experience
Who was admitted to an asylum? Who fled their country due to civil war? Who liked to play practical jokes? Let’s look at the lives and music of some of the most interesting composers, both past and present. Get to know who they were, and are, as people, and the lives they lived. See how the music they wrote was a reflection of their lives. Each class will focus on a different composer. Students will learn about the life and music of various composers, past and present.
I have been a music teacher for over 20 years, both as a private and group teacher. I have taught multiple ages how to read music, and use the skill to further their music learning journey.
To participate in a few Kahoot quizzes, it’s best if students have a 2nd device (phone, tablet, etc.) If that’s not possible, then they can still participate in answering questions, but they just won’t be able to be a part of the Kahoot scores. Kahoot (App or website)
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
