Description

Class Experience

Our book club will meet for 8 weeks and cover three who was books:  What Was the Women’s Rights Movement?, Who Was Susan B. Anthony?, and Who Is (Was) Ruth Bader Ginsburg?  Participants will spend time prior to each meeting reading approximately 5 assigned chapters.  Who Was books are an easy read and are rich with graphs, images, maps, and more.  We will use the reading material as a springboard to discuss the women covered, the periods they lived in, and historical events on a much deeper...

Each participant will need three books to complete this class:
- What Was the Women's Rights Movement?
- Who Was Susan B. Anthony? 
- Who Is (Was) Ruth Bader Ginsburg? 
- History Smashers: Women's Right to Vote by Kate Messner

Library books and audio books are ok.  Owning a paperback is ideal because learners can highlight and make notes to better engage in class.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
