"Who Was" Book Club
Class experience
This book club meets once a week throughout August. Before class each child will have read the assigned "Who Was" book. It is up to each family to obtain their own copy of the book to read. Students will learn how to read and discuss literature. They will also learn about different elements of history that are discussed in the "Who Was" book series.
I have taught history classes in person to learners for the past six years from Shakespeare, to the American Revolution, and including World War II through current events. I have attended trainings from the Leadership Education Mentoring Institute to teach these classes.
You must obtain your own copy of the "Who Was" books published by Penguin Random House. Here is more information on this book series: http://www.whowasbookseries.com/who-was/
These books include different areas of history. Some of which are difficult to learn about. From the "Who Was" website: "The hardworking Who HQ team of authors, editors, illustrators, designers, and fact-checkers strive to bring you the very best books about the most interesting topics. We get great feedback from readers from all over the world about our books and take their thoughts and suggestions very seriously. It’s our goal to tell the stories of people, places, and events in the most accurate of ways."
