I have bachelor's and master's degrees in psychology and have taught aspects of this course for a year and a half at the college level. I also have 5+ years of experience in mindfulness/meditation and am in my second year of study for a master's degree in social work and psychotherapy.
Homework Offered
All homework will be individually-assigned. Students will receive personalized feedback on all their work. Assessments Offered
Students will receive individual feedback on their homework assignments.
Grades Offered
Students will be engaged through various means including text, audio, and imagery, and those who need more individually-tailored support completing assignments will be received with collaboration, empathy, and understanding.
It may be helpful for students to attend a session or two of my weekly course on mindfulness and meditation (https://outschool.com/classes/ab0b9bfb-dca7-4bd7-bf4d-c6731a37e0f0), but this is in no way required to complete the present course.
One-page handouts with extra information will be provided each week.
The material for the course is based on content from Iona Boniwell's Positive Psychology in a Nutshell: The Science of Happiness. The textbook, however, is not required; students will not be using it directly.
