This is an introduction to who Native American peoples are both past and present. It is the same content as my Who Are Native Americans class, but broken down into two parts for younger students. The class will cover information not often covered in textbooks. We will examine what most people think of when they think of Native Americans and work to change those perceptions. I am a Lipan Apache woman and educator with a passion for teaching people correct information about Native Americans, especially who we are today.
No extra materials for class, but if parents would like an email with documents of teaching resources and book recommendations by Native authors, I can provide those.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
