In this class, we will dig into the content and instructional phonic rules for using the letters C and K in the initial position of words. This lesson is the same lesson that students would receive within a brick and mortar classroom for their literacy- language block. Our instructional focus will support learners who are working on a first grade level or students needing standards based support for a first grade student. I’m a compassionate and charismatic teacher who loves to teach! I have taught Kindergarten through 5th grade students for the last 10 years. In that time, I have been a general education teacher in the public schools setting for 8 years and specialized as a reading coach to my school for an additional two years. I have been teaching online since February 2020. I’m certified to teach Elementary education from Kindergarten to 6th grade. I absolutely love teaching First Grade. I taught First Grade for 8 years and it is one of my favorite grades to teach. One of the largest academic transformations occurs in First Grade. I have taught this lessons in the public school setting with many students who have mastered the content. I’m looking forward to sharing this fun class with your wonderful student!

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
