Class Experience

Have you ever thought about what career path you should take? Not sure where to even start? No worries!

In this class, we will be exploring various careers that fit different personalities. Students will be taking a short 30 question career interest survey and examine and prioritize personal interests, talents, and skills. After answering a series of questions about their career interest, they will receive a score in each of the six career personality types. Students will have time to...

This class is taught in English.

During this class, two learning goals will be addressed:
-Students will be able identify the six personality types: realistic, investigative, artistic, social, enterprising, and conventional. 
-Students will expand their technology and research skills to enhance learning.

I am a certified school counselor in two states and have nine years of experience as a middle school counselor, working with grades 6-8. Additional, I am National Board Certified Teacher in the field of School Counseling. I am passionate about career development and believe that all children should be exposed to numerous career options. I have taught over 3,500 student the importance of career development and facilitated student discussions about personality types and career options.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:NCcareers

50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

We will be using nccareers.org to take our personality survey and explore different careers.
